Four Hatters Advance on Day Two of Southern Intercollegiate

ATHENS, Ga. - Four of Stetson men's tennis players won singles matches on the second day of action at the Southern Intercollegiate on Saturday.

Junior Nathan Debut and sophomore Cahit Kapukiran both defeated UCF Knights in consolation play. Debut topped Jose Sangroniz 6-0, 6-1 and will play Sunday at 8:00 a.m. against FAU's Will Neuner. Kapukiran, meanwhile, will take on Sean Karl of Tennessee at 8:00 a.m. after defeating Jesse Flores 6-2, 6-3.

Sophomore Simon Julin also won in consolation competition, winning his singles match 6-4, 7-5 against Barry's Romain Costamagna. He will take on Portland's Reid deLaubenfels at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Senior Hans Adrian Riseng was the final Hatter to win on Saturday, defeating the College of Charleston's Matt Daly 7-5, 6-2. He advances to take on Sean Bacha of Florida Atlantic at 10:00 a.m.

After winning his first round match of the tournament on Friday, sophomore Egor Panyushkin fell to Sala Sanches of Clemson in the round of 16 on Saturday. Sophomore Laurynas Antropikas and junior Chester Espie also lost singles matches.
