MACON, Ga. - The Atlantic Sun Conference honored Stetson's Alexandria Buelow as the 2012 Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year to highlight the league's Academic All-Conference team.
Buelow helped the Hatters to a fourth-place finish in the Atlantic Sun Championship. She also raked in her third A-Sun Golfer of the Year Award, becoming the only A-Sun student-athlete to do so. Buelow was also a unanimous first-team all-conference selection. The A-Sun introduced the new sport-by-sport Academic All-Conference teams this fall to recognize student-athletes who embody the conference's mission of Building Winners for Life.
