Alexandria Buelow picked up her second straight A-Sun monthly award.

DeLand, Fla. - Stetson freshman Alexandria Buelow (Palm City, Fla.) has been named Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for November, the conference office announced Wednesday.  This is the second consecutive monthly award for Buelow, who becomes the first Hatter ever to win back-to-back awards and the first A-Sun women's golfer to repeat overall since Campbell's Alejandra Shaw (March, April, September 2006).

Buelow claimed the November honors on the strength of her individual championship at the Hatter Fall Classic, a performance that led Stetson to a victory for the third consecutive year in its home tournament at Victoria Hills Golf Club.  She carded rounds of 72-74-72=218, good for two over par and a one-stroke victory over Bethune-Cookman's Emma Tayler.

A highly sought-after recruit who entered Stetson as one of the top 20 junior girl's players in the country, Buelow has more than lived up to the billing as she completed the fall season with a 73.1 stroke average, .965 head-to-head winning percentage (362-13) and seven even par or better scores in 14 rounds.  She is ranked 61st in the nation overall and 12th among all freshmen in the latest GolfStat.com national rankings, where the Hatters are 65th as a team.

Head Coach Floyd Kerr and his defending A-Sun champion Hatters have now picked up six A-Sun Women's Golfer of the Month awards since March 2007 with seniors Lauren Darnell (March '07, November '07) and Danielle Jackson (October '08, November '09) joining repeat winner Buelow.  Stetson begins the 2010 spring schedule February 23-24 at the Jacksonville Invitational.
