Alexandria Buelow shot 73 in the second round at Eagle Landing.

Orange Park, Fla. - Freshman Alexandria Buelow (Palm City, Fla.) turned in a one over par 73 in the second round of the JMU Eagle Landing Invitational on Monday, bettering her first round score by one stroke and putting herself in a tie for fourth place in the individual standings at three over par.  The Stetson women's golf team stands in fifth out of 17 teams with 18 holes left to play.                                                           

Three other Hatters fired rounds in the mid-70s to bolster Buelow's effort.  Sophomore Lauren Cate (St. Augustine, Fla.) shot 76, senior Danielle Jackson (Seminole, Fla.) carded a 77 and freshman Anna Hancock (Lakeland, Fla.) tallied 78.  Cate (+7) is tied for 16th while Jackson is tied for 27th at nine over par after 36 holes.  Senior Lauren Darnell (Gainesville, Ga.), competing as an individual, carded a solid round of 76; she is tied for 35th place overall at +10.

Hailey Koschmann (Illinois), the first round leader after a 69 on Sunday, went under par for the second straight day, shooting 70 to open up a five-stroke lead over Chattanooga's Emma de Groot (even par).  USF's Shena Yang is third at one over par, two strokes ahead of Buelow and Abby Bools of East Carolina.

Central Arkansas remains in the lead in the team standings at 20 over par, three shots better than second place USF.  Illinois is third at +26 with A-Sun rival Florida Gulf Coast (+31) the only other school ahead of the 33 over par Hatters.  Kennesaw State and Chattanooga are tied for sixth place at +35 with Elon (+37), East Carolina (+38), Kansas State (+43), Jacksonville (+44), host James Madison (+47), Georgetown (+48), Longwood (+49), Iowa (+64), Yale (+64) and High Point (+82) rounding out the field.
