MACON, Ga. – Senior JJ Bostic of the Stetson men’s soccer team received All-Atlantic Sun Conference Second Team accolades for his performance during the 2013 season, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

This marks the 17th straight season that the Stetson men’s soccer program has placed at least one player onto the postseason all-conference team, dating back all the way to the 1997 campaign. It is the first time, however, in which Bostic has earned postseason honors from the league.

Bostic led the Stetson defense as a center back all season long, helping the Hatters earn three shutouts on the season. The senior played the most minutes of anyone on the team, logging 1,536 over the course of 16 matches.

Always dangerous going forward and in the air, Bostic added two goals and one assist in his final season with the Hatters. He was third on the team in goals scored and fourth on the squad with a total of five points.

Lipscomb’s Omar Djabi was named A-Sun Player of the Year, while ETSU’s Nate Hodges earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Ryan Coulter, also of ETSU, picked up Goalkeeper of the Year accolades, Isaiah Madrid of FGCU was named Freshman of the Year, and Lipscomb’s Charles Morrow was tabbed Coach of the Year.
