Stetson rising senior pitcher Robby Donovan (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) was selected Wednesday in the 23rd Round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros.  Donovan was the #701 overall pick and the third Hatter to hear his name called today, joining Jeremy Cruz (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 13th round) and Casey Frawley (Cleveland Indians, 17th round).

Donovan compiled a 5-3 record with a 5.19 ERA in 13 starts in 2009, leading the team in strikeouts (68) and innings pitched (76.1).  He was a stalwart in Stetson's weekend rotation for Atlantic Sun conference games all season.
