Robbie Powell Named Third Team All-America

Relief Pitcher Robbie Powell was named to Louisville Sluggers All-American Third Team.

Powell was 1-1 with 2.05 ERA in 30 appearances this season. He had 18 saves on the season, which is a new record for Stetson, passing the previous record of 15 saves. His 18 saves also tied the Atlantic Sun record for saves in a single season and were good for third in NCAA Division I this season. Powell recorded 46 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched for the Hatters this season.

Powell had 10 saves against Atlantic Sun opponents, including all three games against East Tennessee State. Powell also recorded the save when the Hatters defeated the #1 Florida State Seminoles on May 9th at Melching Field.

Powell was also named to the First Team in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
