Stetson's Kurt Schluter and Cameron Griffin both picked up wins on the mound in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League on Monday night.

Schluter led the Chatham Anglers to a 4-2 win over the Orleans Firebirds, striking out eight batters in a six inning start.  The right-hander allowed just two runs on five hits and walked none as the Anglers snapped a five-game skid.

The Anglers are now 16-16 on the year, and are four games back of first place in the Eastern Division with 12 contests remaining in the regular season.  In six appearances, including five starts, Schluter is 2-1 with a 3.95 ERA this summer.  He has 22 strikeouts to only five walks on the season.

Griffin picked up a win in 1.1 innings of work on the mound as the Cotuit Kettleers defeated the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox by a score of 8-4.  The lefty allowed two runs on just two hits in his relief appearance.

The Kettleers improved to a Western Division-leading record of 19-12 and increased their win streak to four games with 13 contests left on the schedule.  The victory marked Griffin's first of the summer.  He has appeared in 11 games, starting two.
