Macon, Ga. - The Stetson women's tennis team improved to 11-1 overall and 3-1 in Atlantic Sun Conference action with a 7-0 shutout win at longtime A-Sun rival Mercer (2-7, 0-3 A-Sun) Friday afternoon.  All six Hatters were double winners and all six singles matches were won in straight sets.

Stetson's three doubles combinations combined to win 24 of 32 games played to easily take the first point of the match.  As play shifted to singles, the Hatter domination continued unabated as four players (Carolina de los Santos, Shannon Gunning, MayaBlue Stauffer-MacDowell and Lindsey Cable) all earned a 6-0 set win in straight set victories.  Other two-set winners for Stetson in singles were senior Unnati Purushotham (Hyderabad, India) and freshman Sierra Sullivan (Austin, Texas).

The Hatters look to keep rolling Saturday at 2 p.m. as they visit upstart Kennesaw State.  The Owls improved to 13-2 overall and 3-0 in the A-Sun with a win over FGCU today.
