DELAND, Fla. – The Stetson University women’s tennis team will be in action at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center one more time in 2014 as it hosts a non-conference match with SUNY Oneonta, Wednesday, April 2, at 2:30 p.m.
The Hatters (12-5, 3-3) are fresh off their weekend sweep of Mercer (5-0) and Kennesaw State (6-1) and will take to their home courts for the 11th and final time this season. Wednesday’s match will also mark the eighth time Stetson has played a non-Atlantic Sun opponent at home.
“I am very happy that we were able to add SUNY Oneonta to our schedule because they are a solid Division III program,” said Director of Stetson tennis Pierre Pilote. “Since our starters have had a very busy schedule of late, the match will give our non-starters a great opportunity to showcase their tennis.”
Wednesday’s match will also act as fan appreciation day in DeLand, where members of the tennis staff will be handing out signed pictures of both the men’s and women’s teams to fans in attendance.
“We just wanted to thank the fans and show them our appreciation for their continued support throughout the year,” Pilote added.
SUNY Oneonta carries an 8-8 overall record into the match with a 2-1 mark in the Division III SUNY Athletic Conference.
For those not able to make it out to Mandy Stoll, Live Results will be available for all home matches via gohatters.com. Fans can also follow @StetsonTennis on Twitter and sign up for Hat-Alerts, the athletic department’s official text messaging system for match updates.
