DeLand, Fla. - Senior outside hitter Kaylee Ream (Venice, Fla.) racked up a season high-tying 15 kills on just 20 swings, hitting a career-high .700, to lead the Stetson volleyball team (5-12) to a dominating 25-7, 25-11, 25-13 sweep of visiting Savannah State (0-16) in non-conference action Tuesday at the Edmunds Center. Ream out-killed the entire Lady Tiger team by herself, 15-13.

The Hatters out-hit SSU .448 to -.050 on the night and put up a .417 or higher attack percentage in every set, including .500 (12-2-20) in Set 1. While Ream (who came up just one kill shy of the career high she set Oct. 16, 2010 vs. Kennesaw State) proved unstoppable, freshmen Taylor Johnson (Omaha, Neb.) and Taylor Story (Plano, Texas) were nearly so as well, combining for 12 kills and just two errors in 21 total attacks. Story added four service aces to her seven kills with sophomore middle blocker Ellen Hawks (Austin, Texas) chipping in with seven kills and four blocks.

Junior setter Alisha Hoffman (Leesburg, Fla.) finished with 17 assists and a career-high three service aces while freshman setter Erika White (Jacksonville, Ill.) distributed 13 assists of her own, tying a career high she originally set just three days ago at Mercer. Junior libero Monique Russell (Phoenix, Ariz.) led all players in the match with nine digs.

Bryana Gadis led Savannah State on the night with four kills and four digs. The Lady Tigers only managed 17 digs as a team, allowing Stetson to hit a season-high .448, its highest attack percentage since a .463 performance on the road against the same Savannah State program October 23, 2005.

The Hatters continue their homestand this weekend as they host ETSU at 6:00 pm Friday and USC Upstate at 5:00 pm Saturday in Atlantic Sun Conference action. Live Stats and Hatter Vision will be available at GoHatters.com.
