NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Stetson men’s basketball team will play as the eight seed in next week’s Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, but first up is the regular season finale. The Hatters will wake up early to play at Lipscomb on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. local on ESPN3.

The Hatters (7-22, 5-12) are coming off of a difficult 96-58 road loss at Northern Kentucky on Thursday night. Stetson has dropped its last five games and lost eight of its last nine. They will look to gain some momentum with a win on Saturday before preparing for Tuesday’s A-Sun Quarterfinal contest.

Senior Hunter Miller led the Hatters in scoring on Thursday, totaling 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting in 33 minutes of action. Junior Kyle Sikora added a career high 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor, and finished the night with seven rebounds.

Lipscomb (14-14, 9-8) comes into Saturday morning’s contest on a high note after defeating defending A-Sun Champion Florida Gulf Coast 92-71 on Thursday. The Bisons knocked down 15 three-pointers on 30 attempts from beyond the arc, and received 21-point efforts by both J.C. Hampton and Martin Smith.

The last time Stetson and Lipscomb did battle, the Hatters came away with a 65-63 home victory in the A-Sun opener back on Dec. 30. Senior Raymone Andrews led Stetson with 27 points, including 12-for-14 from the free throw line in that contest. Hampton and Khion Sankey each scored 14 to pace the Bisons back in the final game of 2013.

Saturday’s early morning contest can be watched on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app. It can also be heard on WSBB AM 1230, WTJV AM 1490, and online at Live Stats, the @StetsonMBB Twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts will also be available for in-game updates.
