Saturday night Blair hit the game-winning shot with six seconds remaining on the clock. For the game he was 5-for-11 from the field, 1-for-3 from 3-point range and 7-of-10 from the line for 18 points. Thursday night he was 5-for-11, 1-of-2, and 10-for-16 for 21 points. Combined for the week he scored 39 points, pulled down 15 rebounds, dished out three assists and picked up three steals.
A contributing factor to this week’s achievement was the accumulation of his play all season. Blair has scored 20+ points in six of the past eight games. Other than his 18-point effort vs. Mercer, the only other time he fell shy of the mark during that span was against FGCU when he scored 17 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the team’s first double-double of the season. He is currently ranked 6th in the A-Sun in scoring with 16.1 points per game and 10th in rebounding with 6.3 boards per game.
