Adam Pegg transfers home to Florida.
DeLand, Fla. - Stetson head basketball coach Derek Waugh has announced that Adam Pegg has transferred from the University of Delaware (Colonial Athletic Association) and will now play for the Hatters.

Pegg will redshirt in 2010-11 and will then have two years of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career. At 6'9 and 255lb, he is a force on the court that can play either the forward or center position.

Pegg started final 14 games of the 2009-10 season for Delaware. He averaged 6.7 points and 3.6 rebounds over that span. Pegg played his high school ball at Clearwater High School and played AAU for head coach Tom Topping with the Nike Team Florida. He was the 4th rated center prospect in the state of Florida in 2007-08 according to ESPN.com.

"We are very excited about Adam. Starting in the Colonial Athletic Association as a sophomore is a major achievement and we are the beneficiaries of him wanting to get closer to home back in Florida", said Waugh. "We have had good success with transfers from other mid major programs who have played significant minutes at their previous institutions and I am sure Adam will be no different".

"During his redshirt year, he will definitely help in practice and he is an avid fitness, strength and diet buff who will be a great role model and mentor to our young, talented big guys as they develop collegiate physiques", he added.
