Was a four-year starter at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School. Led the Falcons to the Louisiana Basketball Class 2A state championship in 2007 and 2008. Named Class 2A First Team All-State in 2008 and 2009, and was a Second Team selection in 2007. Earned Louisiana High School Basketball Coaches Association first team honors in 2009. Was also a four-year starter at quarterback and safety, garnering Class 2A All-State accolades in 2008 and 2009 for the St. Thomas Aquinas football team.
