E.J. Gordon, Anthony Register Cap Phenomenal Careers

DeLand, Fla. -- The highest scoring pair of teammates in school history, E.J. Gordon and Anthony Register recently completed their phenomenal basketball careers at Stetson University.
In 110 career games Gordon scored 1691 career points, the second-highest total in school history.? Register, meanwhile, in 112 career games, scored 1414 points, marking the ninth highest total in the Stetson record book.? Together their 3105 combined points is more than any other set of Hatter teammates in school history.
In addition to his points total, Gordon finished his career ranked among the school leaders in 10 other statistical categories.? He broke the school record for most career steals (235) and field goals attempted (1469), and he ranked second in free throws made (464) and attempted (653).? Gordon also ranked fifth in field goals made (597), tied for sixth in games played, tied for seventh in blocks (49), and ranked ninth in scoring average (15.4), rebounds (690), and assists (276).
In Atlantic Sun Conference history, Gordon ranks 10th all-time in points, 21st in rebounds, second in steals, third in free throws made and 11th in field goals made.
Register, meanwhile, finished his career ranked among the school leaders in seven other statistical categories.? He ranked second in career steals (172), tied for third in three-point field goals made (143), ranked fourth in three-point field goals attempted (412), fifth in games played, fifth in free throws made (371), eighth in free throws attempted (475), and ninth in field goals attempted (1120).
In Atlantic Sun Conference history, Register ranks 27th all-time in points, 13th in steals, tied for 11th in free throws made and tied for 23rd in free throw pct.
Gordon was a two-time second-team all-conference selection and a two-time Atlantic Sun Player of the Week.? He earned A-Sun all-tournament team honors this past season as the Hatters (14-18) advanced to the tournament semifinals.? Gordon scored in double figures 91 times (82.7%) during his career, topped the 20+ point mark 22 times, and recorded 10 double-doubles.
Register earned A-Sun Player of the Week honors and second-team all-conference accolades in the 2004-05 season.? He did not miss a single contest in his career.? Register scored in double figures 80 times (71.4%), topped the 20+ point mark 14 times, and recorded two double-doubles.
The duo played an integral role in Stetson's remarkable turnaround season in 2005-06.? After a 2-16 start, the Hatters (14-18) won 12 of their final 14 games including nine in a row from Feb. 6 ' Mar. 2.
