DeLand, Fla. - Senior center midfielder Tessa Gavilsky (Granite City, Ill.) is listed as the top player in the Atlantic Sun Conference by Top Drawer Soccer.com in its Conference Top-20 Players to Watch list.
Gavilsky is Stetson's all-time leader in goals, assists and points. She scored 34 goals, dished out 29 assists and totaled 97 points over her stellar collegiate career.
In 2010 Gavilsky totaled seven goals and nine assists for 23 points. With just the conference championship game and a resulting NCAA appearance remaining in the 2010 season, she sits atop the A-Sun conference in scoring for the 3rd consecutive season. Jacksonville's Lisa Hensley (22 points) and Liz Fink (21 points) are the only conference players still playing who have a chance to take the spot away.
Gavilsky earned All-Conference honors in each of her four seasons with the Hatters. She was All-Freshman in 2007, First Team and Player of the Year in 2008, First Team and Player of the Year in 2009, and First Team this past season.
