Stetson University Director of Athletics Jeff Altier announced today the addition of Pegjohngy "P.J." Moses to the Hatters Athletics Administrative staff. Moses officially began her duties as Associate Athletic Director for Student Services, Academics and Compliance on Monday, March 31.

Moses will serve as a sport administrator for multiple teams, will certify initial and continuing eligibility for student-athletes and will provide general academic advising, enhancement and referral for student-athletes among other duties.

“I am certainly excited to have P.J. joining our staff in what is an extremely important role,” Altier said. “Nothing is more important in our mission than insuring the academic success and eligibility of our student-athletes. P.J. brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role and will be an asset to our overall athletics operations.”

Moses comes to Stetson from Delaware State University where she most recently served as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management in the Office of General Counsel. Prior to her appointment to that position she served as the Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations from 2008-12.

A graduate of Duke University in 1995 with a degree in Political Science & History, Moses completed her Juris Doctorate at the Tulane University Law School in 1998 while also receiving a sport law certificate.

“I’m filled with enthusiasm and excited to be here,” Moses said. “Stetson has some of the best all-around people. The people, the place and the purpose are truly special. I’m blessed to be among such a wonderful family and I look forward to helping in the continued success of all of the athletics programs.”

She began her professional career as compliance coordinator at Cornell University in 1999. From there she moved on to a similar position at UCF in 2000 before assuming the role of Director of Compliance for the Knights in 2001. She moved on to Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2003 where she served as Assistant AD for Compliance.

In 2004 Moses was named Assistant AD for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator at the University of Texas Pan American, a position she held until moving to Delaware State in 2008.

Throughout her career she has participated in numerous professional development programs through the NCAA and other organizations.

Moses is a native of Goldsboro, N.C.
