Stetson University announced the hiring of a pair of new staff members in the athletic department on Wednesday. Kerry Kerlin will be the new Assistant Director of Operations & Facilities, while Kevin Jurenko was hired as the Equipment Room Supervisor.
Working directly with Director of Operations & Facilities James Stem, Kerlin will oversee scheduling, maintenance, and events at the J. Ollie Edmunds Center. The recent Stetson graduate will also facilitate the operation of softball and sand volleyball events.
Kerlin graduated from the University in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management. Also earning an Associate's degree from the McCann School of Business and Technology in 2008, Kerlin has worked in operations at Stetson since 2009.
Jurenko will be in charge of ordering, distributing, fitting, and maintaining all Stetson equipment throughout the season, specifically working with football, men's and women's soccer, and lacrosse. Jurenko will also oversee the other two equipment managers in the department.
The 1999 graduate of Marshall University comes to Stetson following a five year stint at Tennessee State University as Head Equipment Manager. Before TSU, Jurenko served as head equipment manager at Sacred Heart University, and spent time working at both Marshall and Virginia.
