Choosing Stetson to play basketball as a Division I athlete and a full time student has been the wisest and most influential decision I have made as a young adult so far. Making the transition to living on my own and taking on responsibilities for myself has been challenging. Being an only child I do miss my parents dearly and my hometown of Chicago. I miss the city’s skyline outside my apartment window and the genuine city atmosphere I had in Chicago, but
the slow humble city of Deland is a change of pace that I am happy to partake in.
