Stetson University Director of Athletics Jeff Altier announced Chet Hesson as the Hatters' new Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance on Wednesday. His primary duties will include investigation and reporting of rules infractions, administration of a comprehensive rules education program, preparation of waivers and releases, transfer evaluations, monitoring of playing and practicing seasons, recruiting, and more.

Hesson comes to Stetson after a stint as Assistant Director of Compliance in the University of Hawaii's athletic department. There since December of 2011, he helped develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive, in-depth, and effective athletic compliance program for Hawaii.

Spending time as a graduate assistant in compliance at Eastern Michigan University, Hesson earned his Master of Science degree in Sports Management from the University in 2011.

Hesson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena Heights University in Michigan in 2009, where he played on the basketball and track and field teams.
