For the third time this season and for the seventh time in her career, Stetson University women's basketball senior guard Victoria McGowan (Inkster, Mich.) has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

McGowan recorded her fourth career triple-double on Monday in Stetson's 68-54 win at Lipscomb.  She scored 19 points including 15 in the first-half and tied career-highs with 12 rebounds and 10 assists while playing 37 minutes. McGowan joined Baylor's Brittney Griner as the only two active players in Division I with four career triple-doubles.

On Saturday against Northern Kentucky, McGowan scored 23 points while adding six rebounds and three steals.  For the week she shot 47 percent from the floor and 44 percent from the arc, while averaging 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

A Sports Management major, McGowan is averaging 16.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game this season.  She leads the conference in three-point field goals made (59) and among the league leaders in scoring (third), rebounding (ninth), assists (third), and steals (fifth).  Her three-point field goal percentage of .450 currently ranks her among the top 10 three-point shooters in the NCAA.

McGowan is the only player in school history and just one of 10 in Atlantic Sun history to earn the league's Player of the Week award seven times.

Stetson (19-7, 12-3 A-Sun) has now had five A-Sun Players of the Week this season including the last three in a row.  Shanasa Sanders was selected in each of the past two weeks and McGowan was tabbed twice earlier this season.

The Hatters return home to face Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday at 1 p.m.
