Defensively the Hatters continue to excel at blocking shots. Freshman Amber Porter ranks fifth in the NCAA with a 3.7 blocks per game average, and the team as a whole ranks 18th in the country with a blocking average of 5.3. Sims has tied the school record with 137 blocked shots in her career.
