The Stetson women's lightweight four of Catiling Burke, Priscilla White, Caitlin Mooney and Christina Kapusta, with Kerry Burke coxing, won and the Stetson women's open eight, coxed by Erin Lee, with the light women's four of Shay Martin, Christie Ruane, Cathleen Vogelgesang and Callie Peacock, ran a close third.
The Stetson men's JV four of Dee Graham at cox, Tom Talmage, William Dean, Eddy Spyrides and David Nutting handled the rough water and were in the hunt for medals against the Temple varsity four and the Jacksonville JV four.
The afternoon races were called off due to the squally weather conditions.
The women's novice eight rowed in the roughest water and racing was called off after their race.
Following the event, a crowd of 50-75 spectators, friends and family then gathered for a free team BBQ hosted by Jacksonville.
The rowing team races again next weekend at Tampa in the Mayor's Cup Regatta.
