Over the weekend Stetson Surf Club competed in their final NSSA surf competition before the East Coast Championships. Surfers Willie Lane, Charlie Lane, Roth Allen, Hunter Douglas and Jon Miller represented Stetson. In the men’s short board, Willie Lane was the only competitor for Stetson, and made it to the semi-final round. Hunter Douglas was the only surfer for Stetson in the women’s division and made it to the finals, placing in the top 9 of the competition. Charlie Lane, Allen and Miller represented the men’s long boarders and each surfed well. Allen advanced to the Final placing 5th overall. The strong finish capped a good year for Stetson Surf Club. Now the club has their eyes set on the East Coast Championships on April 4-7.
