On Sunday, April 14th, five members of the Stetson Shooting Club headed out to their host facility, Volusia County Skeet and Trap Club for their last competitive shoot of the semester. Stetson competed against Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Palmer College of Chiropractic. The Stetson club was also joined by Stetson alumnus Kyle Bass who's currently pursuing his law degree from Stetson's Gulfport campus.
The team finished the competition with enough points to secure 2nd place and also earned individual awards and accomplishments. Reba LaRose, Shooting Club president 2013-2014, placed third among the women's field. She shot the high overall score for trap and was only one bird away from a tie with the runner up. Sean Hensley, a recent addition to the club, shot a team high of 77 overall alongside Kyle Bass who also shot a 77. Lastly, Roman Petty, shot a 25 straight in his second round of skeet!
Overall the day was a great success for the Stetson team as they concluded their competitive season. If you're interested in joining the Shooting Club please contact Reba Larose for more information.
