On Saturday, November 20th, the Winter Park Croquet Association (WPCA) hosted seven collegiate members and two club advisors from the Stetson Croquet Club as they visited the Winter Park Croquet Club. The club’s enthusiasm was high as they spent the day receiving excellent instruction, practicing their technique, and reviewing the rules of the game. Lee and Dan Thomas helped the Croquet Club master their jump shots and are very excited to continue to play croquet with the Stetson representatives. The WPCA often sees new members that only frequent a few times, but this will not be the case with Stetson Croquet. It was a successful trip for the club as they know what to expect and what needs to be done to compete amongst themselves, as well as against other organizations in the area.
Stetson Croquet is now an official member of the United States Croquet Association. The club practices Mondays from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Palm Court in the heart of the Stetson University campus. Stetson Croquet is also looking forward to their upcoming trips and tournaments in the spring semester. If you would like more information or would like to join the club, please contact the club president Orion Meades at firstname.lastname@example.org.
