On Saturday, February 25th, the Lady Hatters lacrosse team headed down to West Palm Beach to battle the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU). In their first meeting last year, the Hatters lost in overtime to the Sailfish 9-8. This year proved to be no different as the Sailfish were too much for the Lady Hatters to handle. Stetson put four goals on the board, by four different players: Simone Magee, Liz Gans, Ciara Hendrix, and Victoria Nieves. It was a true team effort as Katrina McKay, Alex Paulus, and Julia Nagle each had at least one assist. The Sailfish played great defense as the Lady Hatters only got 8-10 shots on goal. The final score was 18-4 Sailfish over the Hatters. The Lady Hatters look forward to their next game which will be on Saturday, March 17th at home on Rinker Field against Florida Atlantic University (FAU) at 3pm. Come out early to catch the Men's Lacrosse team take on FAU at 1pm for a great double header of lacrosse.
