The Stetson lacrosse team will host Colorado this Thursday in what will be the Buffaloes’ first game in program history. The Hatters (0-2) are looking for their first win of the season after dropping contests against No. 3 Syracuse and Oregon. Head Coach Nicole Moore’s squad is just two-days removed from their home opener, a 20-3 loss at the hands of the Ducks.

Freshmen Jill Chiachetti and Julia Lozano, and sophomore Melanie Fredericks lead Stetson with one goal a-piece, and will look to add to their season totals on Thursday. Like Stetson, Colorado is new to the lacrosse scene, announced as a new sport in 2012, but fielding its first team in 2014.

CU will take on Jacksonville on Saturday, following its game with the Hatters. Stetson is in the midst of a five-game home stand that will also include opponents, Cincinnati, Old Dominion and Holy Cross.

Game time between the Hatters and Buffs is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Athletic Training Center and admission is free. For those not in attendance, the action can be seen live on HatterVision. Live stats, the @StetsonLacrosse Twitter feed, and Hat-Alerts are also available for in-game updates.
