Jacksonville, Fla. - The Stetson sand volleyball team (9-8) wrapped up the team portion of the inaugural Atlantic Sun Conference Championships on Saturday, defeating host Jacksonville 3-2 and shutting out Mercer 5-0 to claim second place in the five-team round-robin event. The Hatters completed their inaugural season with a winning record.

Three Stetson pairs claimed two wins each on the day against the Dolphins and Bears: #1 seeds Julie Bassett/Kaley Melville, #3 seeds Alisha Hoffman/Claudia Kalin and #4 seeds Katie DiGirolamo and Stephanie Marin. DiGirolamo and Marin went 4-0 as a duo in the team portion after wins yesterday against UNF and FGCU.
