The top two sand volleyball teams in the Atlantic Sun Conference meet in DeLand on Wednesday with a potential regular season title on the line as the Stetson Hatters host the UNF Ospreys in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.

Stetson (9-7, 3-1 A-Sun) currently sits in second place in the A-Sun, one game behind UNF (8-1, 4-0).  While both teams will have one regular season doubleheader remaining after Wednesday, a sweep by either squad may very likely result in a regular season championship and the no. 1 seed for the conference tournament.

"It's a big match for us for sure," Stetson head coach Tim Loesch said.  "We did get to face UNF earlier this season (at Cocoa Beach), and they won a close match.  I am confident that we have improved since then, and I'm sure they have improved, too.  It should be a great match."

The Hatters are coming off a busy weekend in which the team played five matches in span of about 30 hours, splitting two against A-Sun rival Jacksonville and taking one of three against some of the top sand teams in the region.  Included was a 3-2 win over UAB on Saturday as Stetson avenged a 4-1 loss to the Blazers earlier this season.

"Most of our pairs played well (last weekend), we faced some tough competition and played in some close matches," Loesch said.  "One of the reasons we are playing so much is so that the girls can get comfortable in those pressure situations and perform well.  It is going to be good for us in the long run."

Admission to the Stetson sand volleyball courts is free.  Live in-game updates will also be available on twitter (@StetsonVB) and at  The Hatters will also host Mercer at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
