Adam Jones begins his fourth year working with the Stetson men's basketball program in 2013-14. It will be his second as the Director of Basketball Operations after serving two years as a graduate assistant manager for the Hatters.
As Director of Operations, Jones oversees all of the men's basketball managerial staff with practice and game responsibilities. He is in charge of all video exchange, assists the coaching staff with travel, and has played a key role in organization and execution of Stetson's summer camps.
Jones came to Stetson from the University of Arkansas where he served as a student manager for the Razorbacks basketball program under former coach John Pelphrey. During his three seasons with the Arkansas basketball team, the Hogs advanced to the SEC title game in 2008 and then on to the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas earned a victory over Indiana in the NCAAs before falling to evential National Champion North Carolina.
Prior to working with the Arkansas basketball team, Jones spent a season working with the Arkansas football program as a student manager in 2006 under former coach Houston Nutt. During that season he worked with the Razorbacks running backs, which included a trio of future NFL standouts -- Darren McFadden (Raiders), Felix Jones (Cowboys) and Peyton Hillis (Chiefs).
The Arkansas football team won the SEC West Division crown and advanced to play in the SEC Championship game before going on to play in the Capital One Bowl.
During the off-season, in addition to his work with Stetson's basketball camps, Jones has spent time working Arkansas, Clemson and Duke camps.
A native of Siloam Spring, Ark., Jones was a three-year letter-winner in basketball at Siloam Springs High School.
Jones earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Arkansas in 2010 and received his Master's in Reading Education at Stetson in May of 2012.
