Jan Usher is currently in her 18th year at Stetson University and serves in the role of Associate Athletic Director for Student Services.

She oversees all aspects of academic support for all student-athletes and is the athletic department liaison to Admissions and the Registrar’s Office and works closely with Student-Success to help ensure a successful academic track for more than 240 student-athletes on 16 intercollegiate teams.

Under her supervision, Stetson athletes have consistently performed at or above the Stetson general student population academically. Usher also supervises six sports and serves as the department’s representative at numerous NCAA and Atlantic Sun conferences.

Usher earned her BA in Psychology from Stetson in 1981, and played both volleyball and softball for the Hatters.

Usher has had two daughters who have played volleyball for the Hatters. Jenny Schroeder earned her BBA in Marketing in 2006 and her MBA 2007. Katie Usher earned her BA Psychology in 2008 and her MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2011.
