Orlando, Fla. - The Stetson women's tennis team (11-4) dropped a 5-2 decision at local rival UCF (7-9) Wednesday evening in non-conference action. Sophomore Lindsey Cable (Gainesville, Fla.) and junior Jen Miller (Tampa, Fla.) earned wins at #5 and #6 singles for the Hatters.

UCF won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard heading into singles play; the Knights then used straight set wins at the top four spots in the singles lineup to put the match away. Cable defeated Josephine Haraldson 6-4, 6-4 on Court 5 and Miller outlasted Courtney Griffith 7-6, 6-4 on Court 6 to give the Hatters two victories on the day.

Stetson will host 75th-ranked UNC Wilmington at 2:30 pm tomorrow at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center. Live Scoring will be available at GoHatters.com.
