Siesta Key, Fla. - Freshman Julie Bassett (Wadsworth, Ohio) and sophomore Kaley Melville (New Germany, Minn.) highlighted the Stetson sand volleyball team's weekend at the Fiesta on Siesta Key tournament, winning the Silver Bracket title in the top division of pairs play. Freshmen Claudia Kalin (Valparaiso, Ind.) and Alexa Stonish (Stony Brook, N.Y.) finished ninth overall in the Gold Bracket out of 100 pairs.

The huge event featuring more than a dozen colleges and universities was divided into two divisions, Fiesta and Siesta. The former was for sand volleyball-specific pairs while the latter allowed indoor volleyball teams and players to showcase their skills on the sand. Stetson fielded several entries in each division. Stetson's pairs and overall records in the tournament are listed below.

The Hatters head to Jacksonville, Fla. April 20-22 for the inaugural Atlantic Sun Conference Championships.
