James Stem began as the Director of Operations and
Facilities for Stetson Athletics in February of 2011. In the position, Stem is responsible for
scheduling and managing all game day events and operations for Stetson's
athletic teams.
Prior to accepting the position at Stetson, Stem worked for
both the DeLand Suns and the Florida Collegiate Summer League in Orlando. Beginning in November of 2009, he was a
general manager for the Suns, responsible for all game day operations which
included ticket sales, merchandise, concessions, and facility management.
As an intern with the summer league, Stem was the primary
contact for the Youth Baseball League with the Boys and Girls Club. Just as with the Suns, and here at Stetson,
Stem also worked with sponsorship and promotions for the league in the summer
of 2009.
A 2009 graduate of Winthrop University,
Stem earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Sports
Management.
