Jamie Bataille returns to Stetson University as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.  He serves as the primary contact for volleyball (court and sand), women's basketball, and softball.

Bataille originally came to Stetson in 1999 as the assistant Sports Information Director, then served as the Sports Information Director from 2001-06.  He oversaw publicity efforts for all 15 programs, managed the department budget, provided content for and upgraded the athletic website, supervised department staff, and helped facilitate media coverage.  He also served as the host media coordinator for the First and Second Rounds of the 2004 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in Orlando, and five consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Championships in DeLand.

From 2006-11, Bataille served as a sales and customer service representative for Tennant Printing Company (DeLand, Fla.), where he managed the Collegiate Publications division.  In 2011-12, Bataille worked in the renewable energy industry as a Solar Energy Specialist for Solar-Fit (Holly Hill, Fla.), helping local homeowners and businesses lower their energy bills by installing solar energy systems.

A Chicago native, Bataille graduated from DePaul University in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Mathematics.  He earned a Master's in Statistics at The University of Memphis in 1999 after a two-year stint as a graduate assistant in the Memphis Athletic Media Relations department.

Bataille is married to Stetson fastpitch associate head coach Vanessa Bataille and the couple resides in DeLand.
