The Stetson women's soccer team returns to action with its second-straight
home contest on Saturday. The Hatters host Embry-Riddle at 7:00 p.m. in hopes of snapping their current two-game losing streak to open the 2012 campaign.
Embry-Riddle, of the NAIA, won its opening match of 2012, defeating Southeastern by a score of 8-0 last Saturday. Martine Olsen led the Eagles with a hat trick of goals and one assist in the victory. Embry-Riddle went 18-3-1 last season, outscoring its opponents 73-21. Olsen led the Eagles with 27 goals and 10 assists, for 64 total points.
The Eagles earned a 5-2 victory over Stetson last seson in Daytona Beach. It was the first win for Embry-Riddle over the Hatters in the all-time series between the two teams. Stetson holds a 6-1 advantage, dating back to 1999, when SU won 1-0 at home.
