The
Stetson women's tennis team will open their fall season by competing in the 11th
annual College of Charleston Invitational this weekend. The event will run from
this Friday, September 14, to Sunday, September 16.
The
field includes seven teams: host College of Charleston, Armstrong Atlantic
State, UNC-Charlotte, Davidson, Samford, Coastal Carolina and Stetson.
The
Hatters have plenty of upperclassmen that will lead the team this season. Sara
Lazarevic, Clark Tatje, and Jen Miller will help carry the load for Stetson.
Juniors Diana Bukajeva, Lindsey Cable, and MayaBlue Stauffer-MacDowell will see
plenty of action as well.
Sophomores
Naella Wawrinka and Rachel Luke, along with freshmen Andrea Crespo, Eveline
Lepinay, and Alexandra Lyubimova, will fight for playing time amongst a very
deep roster.
The
draws were released Thursday, and can be found by following the links to the
right. Matches start at 8:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 8:30 a.m. on
Sunday.
