Over the weekend, the Stetson University Men’s Soccer club hosted a doubleheader versus University of Central Florida and Lynn University. In the first game of the day, the Hatters fell to UCF 4-1, with Roman Petty (#1) scoring the only goal for the Hatters in the 25th minute. The Hatters only let up one goal in the second half to the Knights; the game was fasted paced with plenty of opportunities to score by both sides. In the second game of the day, the Knights of Lynn University edged out the Hatters 1-0. Lynn scored the game’s only goal in the 30th minute. The Hatters outplayed the Fighting Knights for most of the game, but failed to capitalize on the sloppy play.  The Fighting Knights were offside’s multiple times allowing the Hatters to counterattack, but with no success.  The Hatters played solid defensively and with the outstanding play of goalie Zachary Jenkins, kept the Fighting Knights from scoring in the second half.
