The Stetson volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-20) decision at USC Upstate in an Atlantic Sun Conference match Friday night at the Hodge Center.
USC Upstate improved to 11-15 overall, 6-8 in the A-Sun while the Hatters fell to 4-28, 0-15.
Freshman Cailyn Prewitt led the Hatter offense with six kills, while Kaley Melville had 15 digs and Monique Russell added 13 digs to lead the defense.
The Hatters hit -.009 (22-23-109) for the match as they were held to just six kills in each of the first two sets. Stetson came back after intermission and posted 10 kills in the third set.
"USC Upstate played very well," Stetson head coach Tim Loesch said. "I liked the fact that we battled back in the third set and started to show some improvement."
The Hatters will visit ETSU at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
