The Stetson men's basketball team (2-7) continues its road
trip on Tuesday, traveling to Florida Atlantic (5-5) in an attempt to even the
season series after falling to the Owls 88-78 back on Dec. 6. The two teams are scheduled to tip-off at
7:00 p.m. from the FAU Arena in Boca Raton.
After opening the season 2-1, and winning back-to-back games
by 22 points, Stetson is now in the midst of a six-game losing streak after
recently falling on the road to Richmond on Saturday. The Hatters will attempt to snap the skid on
Tuesday against an Owl team that has won five out of its last seven meetings
versus Stetson.
FAU recently lost on the road at Dayton by a score of 81-56
after winning three straight, including the victory over Stetson on Dec.
6. The Owls are led by Greg Gantt, who
is averaging 21.3 points per game and went off for a career high 34 against the
Hatters in DeLand less than two weeks ago.
Stetson will lean on its quartet of double digit scorers to
carry the load offensively against FAU.
Senior Adam Pegg, whose 10 points at Richmond gave the center double
figure points for the 28th time in his career at Stetson, leads the
Hatters with 15.1 points per contest in 2012.
Junior Chris Perez (12.7), junior Aaron Graham (12.1), and senior Joel
Naburgs (10.8) complete the foursome.
Tuesday night's game can be listend to live on WSBB 1230 AM, 1490
