The Stetson softball team fell 10-4 to Florida Gulf Coast in the finale of a three-game series Sunday afternoon in Fort Myers.

Demi Meza went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBI to lead the Hatters (15-9, 0-3 A-Sun). Meredith Owen also homered for the second straight day, and Chelsea Whalley drove in her team-leading 26th run of the season.

FGCU (20-9, 3-0) scored five runs in each the fourth and fifth innings en route to the series sweep.

Chrissy Morello was robbed of a base hit in the top of the fifth inning and had her hitting streak end at 13 games.

Stetson will begin a nine-game homestand on Tuesday as the Hatters host Cornell in a doubleheader at 4 p.m.
