When John Bledsoe was welcomed with open arms to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Melching Field on May 7, he likely didn't expect that over 20,000 people would see his work over the next three days.
Well as of May 10 at noon, 21,613 views had been recorded on on the YouTube video displaying his now famous first pitch prior to Stetson's baseball game against Florida State. The Executive Vice President at FHM Insurance's name has also hit the national circuit.
UPDATE: The YouTube video is now up over 277,000 views as of Saturday evening.
Beginning with Barstool Sports on Thursday afternoon, numerous national publications have picked up the hilarious video, including USA Today, Yahoo! Sports, and Bleacher/Report. BustedCoverage.com traded emails with Bledsoe, revealing that he thought the moment would either be great or funny.
It was the latter.
UPDATE: The pitch made it all the way to number two on ESPN's Not Top Ten. It marked the second time this season that a Stetson Baseball Video made the list. Earlier this year video of a duck on Melching Field was number five on the list.
