About the Game
•After three straight road games the Hatters return home on Wednesday to host Western Illinois
•The Hatters and Leathernecks will be meeting for the first time
•Western Illinois is a member of the The Summit League. WIU is a founding member of what was formerly known as the Mid-Continent Conference before it became the Summit League in the summer of 2007.
•This is the first of consecutive home games for Stetson. The Hatters also host Marist on Saturday.

Western Illinois Series
Surely two teams who have each been playing college basketball for over 100 years would have faced other before, right? Well, in the case of Stetson-Western Illinois, the answer is "No".

The Hatters have, however, faced plenty of teams from the Summit League over the years. Stetson is 4-10 all-time against current Summit members.

In fact, this is the fifth consecutive season in which Stetson has faced a Summit League foe. Stetson completed a four-game series with IPFW (0-4) last season, and also faced North Dakota State (0-1).

The Summit League also includes Denver (0-1), North Dakota, Omaha, Oral Roberts (4-4), South Dakota, and South Dakota State.

Up Next
The Hatters host Marist, 1 p.m., Saturday.
