DeLand, FL- The Stetson men's and women's rowing teams are set to compete in the full weekend of racing. The women will compete in the MAAAC Championship on Friday, the men are set to compete in the Dad Vail Regatta on Friday and Saturday as well as the Atlantic Sprints on Sunday.
The Stetson women will compete in the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Rowing Championship which is set for Friday, May 12 at Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, NY. This will be the first time the MAAC will host the event at Fish Creek. Canisius College, Drake University, Fairfield University, Jacksonville University, Marist College, Sacred Heart University, and Stetson University will compete for the league title and the conference's automatic qualifier for the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Championship. Boat seedings for the championship will be as followed: No. 1 Jacksonville, No. 2 Fairfield, No. 3 Marist, No. 4 Sacred Heart, No. 5 Stetson, No. 6 Canisius, and No. 7 Drake. All races will be shown live on ESPN+ and the schedule of races is below.

The 84rd Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta will be staged on the Cooper River, in Pennsauken, New Jersey on Friday, May 12 and Saturday May 13, 2023. The Dad Vail Regatta Organizing Committee changed racing venues to ensure all competitors are afforded a safe and fair racing opportunity during Schuylkill River dredging at the National Racecourse site. The Dad Vail Regatta is the largest regular intercollegiate rowing event in the United States, drawing over a hundred colleges and universities from North America. The regatta has been held annually on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since 1953.
Mens rowing will be competing for Atlantic Sprints on Sunday May 14
th, at the Sandy Run Regional Park. This is the first year the Atlantic Sprints are being run and the goal is to bring more rowing programs together, especially those who are not involved in a league. This park is Located along the Occoquan Reservoir in Fairfax Station, Virginia, Sandy Run Regional Park houses the area's scholastic rowing facility and racecourse. The facility's three boathouses and 2,000 meter Class A racecourse provide a venue for rowing crew education, training and competitions.
