DELAND, Fla. - The Stetson women's tennis team named a 2023 All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2023 season on Monday. In addition to the team honor eight Hatters were named as ITA Scholar Athletes.

In order to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale. All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

The eight Hatters to receive an individual ITA Scholar-Athlete award are as follows:
Pilar Astigarraga Harper
Laetitia Rizk
Nadejda Maslova
Alanna DiFrancesco
Elodie Foster
Tess Menten
Daliyah Hammoud
Magdalena Hedrzak

In order to be named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete a student-athlete has to have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

"The amount of this team puts on the court makes it extremely tough on their academics. For them to continue to achieve these team and individual recognition is not an easy task. They should be very proud of this achievement." Stetson head coach Travis Sandlant.

Stetson concluded their playing season and secured their spot in history by having the second most wins all time with 20 and earning two runner-up finishes in the ASUN Championship and NIT Championship.
