THE LEAD
The Hatters picked up their fourth straight win after defeating the Kennesaw State Owls on the road last Saturday to stay undefeated on the road during conference play. The Hatters (15-12, 10-3 ASUN) will look to play spoiler on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4:00 PM as they take on the FGCU Eagles (23-4, 13-0 ASUN) at the Alico Arena in Fort Myers. All the action will be streamed to ESPN+ and live stats will be available at fgcuathletics.com.
INSIDE THE SERIES
This will be the 41st meeting between the two Sunshine State teams as the Hatters trail in the series 5-35. The Hatters look to break a five game skid that includes the 66-51 loss to the Eagles back on Jan. 13 this season. They first met back on jan. 12, 2008 when the Hatters dropped the inaugural game 65-44. Stetson's last win in the series came on Feb. 12, 2022 when they defeated the Eagles 58-55 in Fort Myers. In their 40 previous games, the Hatters have tallied 2,794 total points or 69.85 points per game.
