Benfield’s academic pursuits are just as ambitious as her cheerleading career. Inspired by her mother’s legal work and her own love for history and debate, she aspires to become a corporate lawyer.
“My mom’s involvement in law-related matters has always fascinated me,” Benfield explained. “I’m majoring in Political Science for Pre-Law, and I’m excited to pursue my goal of attending law school.”
Benfield’s father has been a significant influence on her life. His journey from struggling academically in high school to excelling in college and becoming a respected Physician’s Assistant serves as a constant source of motivation.
“He taught me the importance of perseverance and determination,” Benfield shared. “His story inspires me to never give up on my dreams.”
As she continues her journey at Stetson, Benfield hopes to leave a lasting impact on those around her.
“I want to be remembered as someone who was always kind and eager to help others,” she said. “I want to be known for my determination and passion for what I love.”
