Biography

PRIOR TO STETSON
Played under coach Cristiano Ianniti for Bellinzona Basket, averaging 13 points per game in Switzerland’s second division at age 16... Won back-to-back Swiss championships with Bellinzona’s U17 and U18 teams, including a 32-point performance in the 2021-22 title game... Later joined Helios Basket in Switzerland’s top division, helping capture the Swiss Bauman Cup with the U18 team... Represented Switzerland at the European Youth Championships every year since 2021... Earned the Best Sportswoman Award in the Bellinzona region in 2023...

Sophie Locatelli was born on September 8, 2005... Daughter of Roger and Michela Locatelli... Has an older sister, Elisa... Her father was a professional basketball player in Switzerland and France...
